Their grandson was born to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Owens on Thursday December .'31 and has been given the name Michael Dennis. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fowler visited in Greenville recently. Mrs. Tennie Prince of Anderson visited Mrs. Janie Prince during Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Oaklev spent Christmas with their son and family. Mr. and Mrs. Frankie Oakley, in Indiannapolis. Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. John Gallman and Teresa, James Gallman and son, Quinn, of Rock Hill visited in Florida and attended the Tangerine Bowl and other places of interest recently. Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Donald and family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Donald and family spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hampton and son visited W. R. Ellis in Columbia recently. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hampton won first prize in the Reggie Lancy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Laney, Lydia Mills, is six years old. Christmas decoration contest at the Clinton Mill. Mrs. Frances Meeks and children joined other relatives in Spartanburg at the home of her sister, Mrs. W. H. Calla nan, ior unristmas dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Mitt Milam visited Mrs. D. G. Milam in Hickory, N. C. the past week end. Mr. and Mrs. Wyman Milam of Savannah, Georgia and Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Chandler of Augusta, Georgia spent Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitt Milam. Ronald Corley of Washingto, D. C. spent Christmas holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Corley. The annual Christmas dinner and party for the Corlevs was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Butler in Greenwood. S. C. Mrs. Hilda Campbell and children of Charlotte. N. C. spent Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burdette. Also visiting the Burdettes was Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mclnvaille and daughter of Charlotte. Mrs. Martha Childress and sons spent a few days in Camden. S. C. during Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Childress. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Holland of Aliendale and Sgt. Willie Cannon of Ft. Benning, Ga. spent the holidays with Mrs. J. H. Crow and Mrs. Willie Cannon. Mrs. Sarah Jenkins, Mrs. J. H. Crow and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Holland visited Mrs. Ora Kalowche in Asheville, N. C. the past Sunday. The many friends of Mr. J. E. Coker will learn with regret that he entered Greenville General Hospital on Wednesday, January 6, to undergo an eye operation. We all wish for him a speedy recovery. Mrs. Taylor Rodgers visited her daughter. Mrs. Mildred Harris, during Christmas. Mr. Charlie Broome continues ill at his home on the Greenwood Highway. Mr. and Mrs. D. \V. Lawton and little daughter.
