The Lowe is changing its home port to Maypoit, Fla., June 14th. Mr. and Mrs. David Pulley and daughters have recently enjoyed a vacation in Florida. They visited the sights down one coast and back up the other. Eva said she saw lots of pretty scenery on her trip but didn't even take a dip in the Ocean. It seems we're just getting over Christmas. but we sure are glad to get this week's rest. Well, at least a week's change of work, if not rest, for probably a lot of you will be doing work on This lovely lady is Teresa Cannon. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bardy Cannon and qranddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cannon, Clinton Mills. Teresa celebrated her 3rd birthday June 16. your homes instead of taking trips. But whatever you do we hope you will really enjoy it and please be careful. No accidents please! We would echo this statement given us by William Fowler, when asked for news. I quote. "Christ is my personal Savior, and 1 hope that every one of us can and will invite him on our trip, wherever we go for vacation. That is the only way to have a happy and careful vacation." Sam Owens tells us that ho and his wife, Cleo. and Mr. and Mrs. Truman Owens and son. Larry, have reservations at Davtona Beach for vaca tion week, so anyone wanting them will have to call or go to the Tropical Manor, Daytona Beach, Florida. Al/C and Mrs. Harold Meadows and children spent three weeks with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Meadows. While here, Cla accompanied them on a week's trip to Florida. They visited Silver Springs, Orlando and Cypress Gardens, St. Augustine and Marineland. Harold is now stationed at Westover Air Base, in Massachusetts. We welcome George Tucker back to our department after two years in Service for Uncle Sam. Welcome also to Don Copeland, Mike Cannon. Jimmy Hughes, who came up off the second shift, and Cecil Davenport, who is learning overhauling in our department. These boys are really glad to be off the second shift. Mrs. Inez Hughes, of Birmingham, Alabama, is spending the summer with her brother and sister-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Smitherman. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Carter and son. Mrs. Cortey Ward and daughter. Ann, of Lancaster. and Mr. and Mrs. James Strickland, of Gas xonia. were ail recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Meadows. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gibbs. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gibbs, Jr.. motored up through the Blue Ridge mountains and through Highlands on a recent Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Suttles and son. Kenneth, of Durham. N. C.. spent a weekend visiting their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Suttles and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Barker. Mr. Henry Suttles. who has been ill quite a while, reports back to Greenville General Hospital. June 16th. for reexamination. to determine whether surgery is necessary. Cur host wishos on with him that his condition will improve. and that he will be on the road to recoverv soon. BM2/ Paul C. Arnold, of San Diego, California. is spending a thirty day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Arnold. The family of J. E. Braswell. Sr.. celebrated his birthday with a dinner, picnic style, at the home of his son. Earl, on Caldwell street. May L* -1 These beautiful young ladies are Kitty Lynn and Barrie Jean Stewart, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Stewart of Easley. 3 17th. Mr. Braswell was 89 years young May 12th. All his children and their families were there. Including friends and out of town guests, there were about 65 present. Our best wishes to Mrs. Dora Leopard, who at the time of this writing is a patient at Hays Hospital. Mrs. Leopard suffered a broken rib in an accident May 22nd, and has been in the hospital \i r_ i i :ii sunjtf. we sure nope sne win soon be well. Raymond Tucker underwent surgery at Hays hosptal June 1st. He is recuperating at his home. Best of luck to you. Raymond, may you soon be feeling good as new.
