Ola is sailing along on a
pink cloud these days. She
got word that Harold and his
family will leave England
May 5th for the states, besides
getting to see a son she
hasn't seen in 3 years, she'll
get to see a daughter-in-law
and two grandchildren she's
never seen. Yes. I said two
grandchildren. Johnny, who
is 14 months old. and little
Janie Elizabeth, who arrived

Jim Meadows got quite a
shock recently. He got news
of a new grandson that no
one here knew anything
about. A telegram came telling
them of the arrival of
James Curry Meadows, March
12. son of M/Sgt. and Mrs.
James Meadows, of Shepherd
Air Force Base in Wichita
Falls. Texas. M/Set. and Mrs.
Meadows have a little girl 10
years old and they haven't
been home in almost two
years, so thev kept their news
to surprise the folks, and they
really did surprise everyone.
Jim says they're expecting
them home the last of June.
Roy Cannon is grandpa
again, too. They got a tele
pram Easter Sunday telling
of the arrival of a granddaughter
in Alaska. The little
girl was born March 28 to
S/Sgt and Mrs. Calvin Lee in
Anchorage. Alaska, and has
named Katherine Elaine and
weighed 5 lbs. ll> oz. at birth.

grandchildren of the Jim
Meadows have been ill with
measles. Measles are a real
peskv thing once thev get
started and we sincerely hope
they've about run out around
here.
Thev've really had a whooping
time out at the Dewey
Lawrences, too. All four of
the grandchildren who live
with them have had a real
case of whooping cough. Wo
sure hope they are all about
well bv now.
Glad to report that Mrs.
James Harris, of State Park,
is still improving and is

all send our very best wishes
to her.
