JANUARY, 1958 Providence School Patrolmen "ON DUTY" Police Officers and School Officials Ask Cooperation of Motoring Public Lydia Community Policeman Ralph Riddle is ably assisted by uniformed Junior Patrolmen in carrying out pedestrian and traffic safety in the Providence School Safety Zone. The newly organized Providence School Safety Patrol is a result ol the cooperative efforts of Mr Glen Gaskins. as President ol The Providence School PTA Mr. J. Rudy Shealy, school principal, and law enforcement officers, Clinton Chiel of Police B. B. Ballard and Lvdia Cornmunitv Policeman Ralph Riddle. The patrol receives profes sional training in traffic control and pedestrian safety in the monthly meetings helc jointly by Chief Ballard anc Mr. Riddle. Policeman Riddle is vitalh interested and active in traffic safety throughout th( community. When speaking of the schoo patrolmen recently he said "These are your boys fron your community; please, wher you see one on duty, respec him and his authority.
