Mr. Ed Suttles and family of Marion, N. C., visited his brother, Mr. Henry Suttles. recently. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Putnam and Wallace and Clyde Williams spent a Sunday afternoon in the mountains of N. C. recently. We carried a picnic dinner, but when we stopped to eat we nearly froze. Ole Mother Nature had really made the leaves beautiful again this year. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Mark Satterfield, Lydia Mills. I , m 4 ' Thanksgiving, and we've all got a lot to be thankful for, if we'd take time off from grumbling to count our blessings instead. Why not try that this year? You'd be surprised if you'd just sit down and start writing the things we have to be thankful for. Trv it! First of all. we want to tell you of a tragedy that occurred the night of November 1. The home of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Brewington. parents of N e w e 1 1 Brewington. was burned to the ground, and with it everything they had worked for years to attain. Their friends came to their rescue and they would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone who contributed to their cause. S. K. ."1 Chris Davenport of the U. S.
