Mr. and Mrs. Richard Riser, of Montgomery, Ala., spent Easter weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Riser. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Henry English, Jr. and family back to our community after living in Montgomery, Ala. for the past three years. Mr. and Mrs. Gholdie Simmons and daughter, Dixie Ann, and little Nancy Blease, spent Easter in Charleston with DCI and Mrs. Tan Windsor. A-2-C Harold Meadors, Mrs. Ola Meadors, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Faye MedJin spent a weekend in Gastonia with Mrs. Meador's brother and sister - in - law, the James Stricklands, and attended the all-night singing at Charlotte. Freeman ITEMS Calvary Baptist Concludes Revival Calvarv Rantist Chnrrh nn March 25 concluded a very successful week's revival with Rev. C. M. Johnson, pastor of the Greenville Second Baptist church, preaching the evangelistic services. During the revival. 82 persons joined the church with 73 coming fcr baptism. With the completion of the two educational buildings recently, the Sunday School attendance has filled all available space. Average attendance in March was 441 with 591 present Easter Sunday. Calvary Baptist has next to the largest Sundav School in Laurens county. In commenting on the progress of the church, the pastor. Rev. Spillers said: "The progress our church has made would not be possible were it not for the close cooperation of Mr. P. S. Bailey and his associates.
