Some people just have a little better luck. Speaking of luck, James Cole got an income tax refund check for two cents. He's lucky, because we had to pay but at least we know our government is honest. A-3C Bobby Joe Galloway spent a 10 day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Galloway. Bobbv is stationed at Belleville, 111. Carl Galloway, of Laurens, also a son of the A. G. Gallo ways, is a patient at the Veterans hospital in Augusta where he will have an operation. We wish him luck. Mrs. Lewis Butler, Jr. and children spent two weeks in Troy, N. Kay Young Given Birthday Party March 6th was a very special day for little Miss Kay Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Young, Jr. as it was her 6th birthday. The event was celebrated with a birthday party at the Youngs' residence with several guests attending. Games and contests were enjoyed by all the children. The house was beautifully decorated with yellow and white spring flowers. The dining table was centered with a pink and white birthday cake and favors of colorful paper hats and plar.tic lambs adorned with candy were given the children. Little Kay cut her birthday cake after which each guest was served cake and ice cream. Kay's mother was assisted in entertaining by Mrs. Edgar Copeland, Mrs. Gary Holcomb and Mrs. L. C. Ficklin. BIRTHDAY PARTY GIVEN Mrs. Joe Campbell entertained a number of teen-agers at the Community building honoring her daughter, Dawn on the occasion of her 15th birthday. Games were enjoyed throughout the evening. Afterwards they were served refreshments by Mrs. Campbell, assisted by Mrs. J. B. Reeder, Mrs. Carrie Bell Poteat and Mis. Annie Evans. Dawn received many lovely gifts from her friends on this happy occasion. BRIDE-ELECT FETED Saturday evening, March 20, the Clinton Mills Community building was the setting for a miscellaneous shower honoring Miss Betty Anne Campbell of Columbia, recent bride-elect.
