Mrs. Arthur Grany of Seneca and Miss Eva Shockley of Greenville spent a week with Mrs. John Mnttp Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lanford and son and Mrs. Ada Prince and daughters attended the funeral of G. W. Students of the seventh grades gave the devotional, and entertained the club with a pageant of American history, combining a Thanksgiving program with American Education Week. Second By Joe S. Caughman News on the Second Shift seems a little short this month. Everyone must have Santa Claus on their minds too much to make any news. There is a lot of Christmas spirit up here now. Jeanette is going around with a little box of names and everyone is drawing a name to bring a present. Wonder who has mine? I drew a girl's name but I'm not saying whose. What do you buy a girl for Christmas. Guess I'll have to ask Junior what his wife wants. Santa Claus is a great l'uv. isn't he? Grannie, that is Maggie Wilso?- is asking a lot about the army here of late but what Grannie is interested in is Pvt. Larry Joe Cagle who is stationed at Camp Gordon, Ga. Grannie and Mr. and Mrs. Noah Scott visited Pvt. Cagle recently. Some people can be the luckiest ones.
