Lanfords celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary March 5. Mrs. Lillie Seawright spent a weekend with Mrs. Cora Boyce near Joanna. Mr. and Mrs. Capers Gregory announce the birth of a son, Tommy, March 17, at Hays. Glad to have Selma Howell back after an absence, and also Geneva McCoy who has been out with flu. We welcome Sidney Frost, Bobby Pierce and Fronnie Franklin from the second shift and also Ralph Blackwell from the first. Ralph is our new overhauler. Mrs. William Ellis with 26 members of the Training Union of Lydia Baptist Church attended the rally at Union Baptist Church near Ware Shoals. A hearty welcome to H. C. Dotson, Paul and Nellie Flynn and Roy Lee Ellis, newcomers to our department. Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Bailey were called to Pineville, N. C. because of the death of an aunt.
