For some time he has led a strcnous life catching up with work, both congressional and private, that he had to leave unfinished while sick and taking treatment in the government hospital. We, with his many friends in this county as well as over the State hope it will be favorable and he will win by a big majority. The first district cannot do without him and the state at large needs him in the halls of congress. As we sen it this district will not only do herself a great injustice hut will do the state great harm by defeating him. We will give the readers of the Sentinel-Journal a few dots of a family reunion which we had the pleasure of attending on August the fourth at Mr. Jackson Hunters, the children and grandchildren with severa ' friends met on the above date at the home of Mr. Hunter there to mix and mingle their voices ' together for a day of pleasure1 nrwl rwofimn. 1 4 ? t^wuuuc, mc uu^ies wagons' and cariages begin to arrise i early in the morning and kept.1 on coming untill there was one | hundred and fifteen present; just i at 12.80 o'clock the table was' prepared under the beautiful oak in the yard near a well of j nnvo watov * ' !.v?v/ ??cvtvji, t'lii'ii ct snort mid i earnest Prayer was offered by Mr. W. F. Young for the bless-i ings of the food to the good of < the body and for the richest blessing upon the family after which every one done justice to! themselves and there was plenty ; still left on the table. Then V every one quenched their thirst ( with the good lemonade that was prepared, then we retired to the house where we engaged in singing for about two hours the singing heing conducted by Prof. Mat Murphree of Oconee County with Miss Nellie Gentry assisted by others at the organ: after the singings we had a de- r lightfnl prayer service and after ! the prayer service vvas over the people began to bid each other good-by and go to their homes. We certainly can say that this was a day of enjoyment and pleasure to both family and our prayers arc that the family may live to have many more such reunions. Written by a friend. W. F.
