The busi nass of the road is good, and we hope soon to have a nice new depot. Theie will be an all-day sing ing at Flat Rock church the first Sunday in. April. Every body invitep to bring song books. The singing will be conducted by P. C. Bartee. Miss Maud Ashmore came in Saturday to rest for a'few days at the home of her parents. She has been kept busy for several weeks nursing cases of scarlet fever in Atlanta. Mrs. W. T. McFall will build handsome residence on the site of her present one in the very near future. The old house will be rolled on to the lot next to the Mauldin house. What has become of the Pick ens Civic League? We did hope it would have caused flowers to bloom and grass to grow on the courthouse grounds this spring by way of a good beginning. There will be a singing at Liberty school building on the second Sunday in April, begin ning at 2 o'clock. Public cor dally invitedl to attend. P. C. CARTE. Mr. and Mr's. D. J. Carter ar' rived in Pickens from Chicago, Wedlnesday of last week. Mr. C. holds a lucrative position with the Southern Press Sydicate, and will travel in the south until June.
