Any Questions? • Which day is my commencement exercise? The University of South Carolina will honor our Spring 2006 degree candidates with Baccalaureate, Master’s and Professional Commencement Exercises at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 in the Colonial Center. On Friday, May 5, the degree candidates from The Darla Moore School of Business, College of Engineering and information Technology, College of Mass Communications and Information Studies, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, The Norman J. Arnold School r»—neaith, and the College of Social Work will be honored. On Saturday, May 6, the degree candidates from the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management, College of Education, School of the Environment, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Music, Fort Jackson Military Base Program, Interdisciplinary Programs and the South Carolina Honors College will be honored. • Do my family members and guests need tickets or invitations to attend the commencement exercises? Admission tickets or invitations are not usually required. The Commencement Exercises are open to the public, and you may invite as many guests as you wish. Upon the announcement of the commencement speaker, this policy is subject to change. Guest seating will be on a first-come-first-seated basis. • What time do degree candidates need to be at the commencement exercises? On Friday, May 5 all degree candidates will report dressed in his/her academic regalia to the College Street entrance, located at the corner of College and Lincoln Streets, of the Colonial Center by 1:00 p.m. On Saturday, May 6 all degree candidates will report dressed in his/her academic regalia to the College Street entrance, located at the corner of College and Lincoln Streets, of the Colonial Center by 8:30 a.m. • How long does the ceremony usually last? We expect the Baccalaureate, Master’s and Professional Commencement Exercises to last approximately ninety minutes.
