ART BAR 1211 Park St. Once a Vista hangout for the non button-down set, Art Bar will play host to WUSC-sponsored iPop on Friday nights, a dance party DJ-ed by WUSC’s finest. Also, Art Bar often plays host to local bands and songwriters, encouraging Columbia’s nascent scene through the almost-yearly Local Fest. PUB 136 State St., Vista West This Pub features Columbia’s first official “Crappy Hour” from midnight until 2 a.m. Other entertainment includes Open Mic Wednesdays and Maui Mondays. NONNAH’S 930 Gervais St. Nonnah’s is a family-owned coffee house famous in Columbia for homemade desserts. It has a good coffee selection, but beware of a few pricey selections. Best reserved for special occasions. JAMMIN’ JAVA 1530Main St. Jammin’ Java is an underground coffee shop. You’ll see art on the walls, and it often features local music acts.
