Adams saw several suspects skateboarding. Investigation revealed that Patrick Bucci and Christopher Sullivan were already on trespass notice. MONDAY, MAY23 ©Information Swearingen, 315 Main St. The victim was sitting at a computer when a light cover fell from the ceiling, striking her in the head. She received a laceration requiring stitches. Reporting officer: C. Knoche ©Larceny of Vehicle 1312 Pendleton St. The victim said someone stole a 1998 Ford F-150 worth $9,600. Reporting officer: J. Widdifield WEDNESDAY, MAY 25 ©Assisting Other Agency Blossom and Pickens streets Reporting officer C. Knoche observed Andrew Goodwin walking through East Quad courtyard. Knoche stopped the man and checked with Richland County for an arrest warrant. Goodwin was detained for failure to register as a sex offender. OHousing Violation Carolina Gardens Apartments, 101 Pickens St. Reporting officers P. Jones and B. Baker responded to a fire alarm caused by a pot left on the stove. Smoke was billowing out. It was hard to breathe inside the apartment, so the Columbia Fire Department used fans to flush the smoke out of the room. FRIDAY, MAY27 ©Disorderly Conduct Carolina Coliseum, 701 Assembly St. Charles Ray was sitting in a restricted section of the arena. Reporting officer J. Simmons asked him to leave, but Ray said, “You need to get out of my way.” When Simmons persisted, Ray repeated himself. Simmons escorted Ray out of the arena. Ray asked for Simmons’ name and badge number. Simmons gave him both, and a business card. “You’re an asshole,” Ray said, in front of several small children. B Assault and Battery (Mutual Combat) Carolina Coliseum, 701 Assembly St. Officer K. Adams was dispatched regarding a fight. Joseph Ryals was lying on the floor injured. McCoy said he and Ryals got in an argument inside the Coliseum, but Ryals followed him onto the concourse and hit him in the head from behind. McCoy grabbed Ryals by the waist and threw him on the floor, where the two continued to scuffle. Adams was unable to interview Ryals because of his injury.
