on a whole new dimension once
a student heads off to college.

such as Target have'developed
complete houseware lines with
college kids in mind. Designer
Todd Oldham’s line at Target
features an array of functional,
yet whimsical items from rugs
to CD racks. Such chic and sen
sibly priced options allow stu
dents to add flair to an otherwise
bland list of necessities.

put-together room, bed furnish
ings ultimately establish the
area’s atmosphere. That ragged
throw that was found at home
in the back of the linen closet
might have seemed like a free,
available option while packing,
but once it takes center stage in
a dorm room, its lack of that “je
ne sais quoi” becomes harshly
evident. Thankfully, those
pressed for time and money can
choose one of the many “bed-in
a-bag” collections on the mar
ket. These affordable, function
al, matching sets provide stu
dents on a budget with an alter
