Money, however, seems to be the most dominant issue for many students. They pinch pennies every way imaginable. “I plan on staying in one hotel room with eight other people,” second-year marine-science student Alan Mehrzad said. While some students are cramming m their quar ters to save money, other students hope to make money. “Even though a trip to Cancun sounds really ap pealing, I’m staying in Columbia and working to save up for my trip to Spain this summer,” second-year biology student Jennifer Wilkins said. Whether students are earning money, spending money, serving the community or simply catching up on sleep, spring break is certainly a time that most of us enjoy and treasure — all of us who don’t end up on “Girls Gone Wild,” anyway.
