BRIEFLY voueyoan to piay final home matches The 20th-ranked USC volley ball team wraps up its regular season home schedule this week end when it takes on'two Mississippi teams this weekend. Carolina (17-4,10-1 SEC) will face Ole Miss on Friday at 7 p.m. and Mississippi State on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Friday night will be Alumni Night and Senior Night for a Gamecock squad that fea tures six seniors. Tennis tournament begins Friday at USC The USC women’s tennis team will hold the 2002 Southern Intercollegiate Tournament this weekend. The tournament will be held at the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Court on Blossom Street and the Sam Daniels Tennis Courts that are beside Sarge Frye Field. The tournament begins Friday morning at 9:30 a.m.,and contin ues through Sunday with the fi nal rounds. Women’s soccer heads to Greensboro The USC women’s soccer team (12-5-2,4-3-2 SEC) concludes reg ular-season play Friday night at 7' p.m. with a road match at UNC Greensboro (7-10-1). , This will be Carolina’s final test before the SEC Tournament next week in Oxford, Miss. Carolina’s seed and opponent for the tournament will be deter mined after the SEC regular sea son completes this weekend. Men’s soccer team in Charleston tourney USC’s men’s soccer team heads to Charleston today for its final tournament of the year. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m., and the game will be televised by CBS. The Gamecocks went 3-0 Saturday, shutting out the Citadel and Winthrop/Motley and defeating Furman 22-5 in the championship game. USC (8-4-1) outscored its opponents 77-5. Carolina will play its last home game of the semester Friday against Tennessee at the Blatt P.E. Center.
