The reporting officer responded to a possible fight in progress. Upon arrival, the officer saw James D. Robinson strike victim 1 several times. Robinson was very loud, yelling obscenities at the victim and the officers. The officer placed Robinson under arrest. During a search of the incident location, Robinson became very stiff and non compliant with the officer’s commands. Robinson was combative toward all officers and it took four officers to get him inside the patrol vehicle. Robinson then struck and grabbed victim 2 on the inner thigh. The subject then exposed himself and began urinating in the USC patrol car. Robinson continued to spit all over the windows, seat and cage of the car. Reporting officer: N. The victim said someone entered her locked office and used her computer to look on the Internet and open several files from a floppy disk drive and the hard drive. The victim also said there was an empty soda bottle on her desk that was not hers. Reporting officer: N. DeHaai. © LOST CELL PHONE, SHUTTLE BUS The victim said she lost her black Motorola cell phone on the Carolina Shuttle blue route starting at the Coliseum. Reporting officer: R. Scott. © ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, 3555 HARDEN ST. (OF MAP) The victim said a small child exited the subject vehicle and struck the left door of his gray 1992 GMC with the right door of the white 1998 BMW. The damage to victim’s car was minor. Reporting officer: J. Means. O LARCENY OF BICYCLE PARTS, 1405 WHALEY ST. The victim said someone removed the seat and rear light from his bike. Inauguration CONTINUED FROM PAGE 1 President Ankit Patel began his speech by thanking the outgoing officers for their dedication and commitment. He also expressed his excitement about working with the new group of officers and senators, as well as with Palms. Patel then spoke of his desire to have a “systematic overhaul” of SG. He expressed his concern that SG has come to be known as “weak, ineffective, isolated and even pointless.” “We need to re-evaluate the du ties and responsibilities Sf the president, vice president and trea surer,” Patel said. “We need to bridge the gap between our elect ed leaders and the student orga nizations on campus. We need to change our election process to make it more representative of the student population.” Patel called on the incoming government to help him achieve . these goals. “With your guid ance and support, we can re shape our Student Government into an institution you can be “I’ve always believed that in order to be a good leader you have to be a good servant.
