HOROSCOPES TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (SEPT. 21) This year, you’re blessed with a sense of humor and a cheerful attitude. You think you can do anything. You have less tolerance for people or jobs that waste your valuable time. You’d rather read or practice. You’ve always set high standards for yourself. Keep pushing. You’ll achieve them. To get the advantage, check the day’s rating: 10 is the easiest day, 0 the most challenging. ARIES (MARCH 21-APRIL 19) - Today is a 6. Slow and easy does it. Do the job, get the pay, put it in the bank. Pay the rest of the bills, save a few bucks for yourself. Tuck those into your pocket for the expedition you ve piannea. Buy provisions tonight so you can get an early start Saturday morning. TAURUS (APRIL 20-MAY 20) - Today is an 8. One person hasn’t been convinced, but that’s a minor problem. If everybody thought you could make this happen, there’d be no challenge. You’re getting luckier, by the way. Your partner’s getting luckier, too. Together, you’re awesome! GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 21) — Today is a 7. Stay late and work hard. Offer the extra effort for overtime. You have a financial goal to meet. You can do it, but not if you spend all day reading the comics page. CANCER (JUNE 22-JULY 22) - Today is a 7. Your plans should be nearly complete by now. Once you and your collaborator agree on just a few more points, you’ll be ready to start working on your next project. LEO (JULY 23-AUG. 22) — Today is a 6. Once you’ve figured out exactly what you want, finding it should be easy. Keep shopping until it happens. You’ll know it when you see it. Better make sure there are checks in the checkbook and money in the account. VIRGO (AUG. 23-SEPT. 22) - Today is an 8. You’ll soon notice you’re feeling more secure. You have a growing sense of inner calm, and it looks good.on you. Continue to study and advance. LIBRA (SEPT. 23-OCT 22) — Today is a 7. Don’t listen to a person who thinks you can’t carry out your plan, especially if you love this person very much. Just because he or she couldn’t do it doesn’t mean you can’t. Your talents and resources are unique. Press on. SCORPIO (OCT. 23-NOV. 21) - Today is a 7. First, do the planning and figure out how much you think it’U cost. There are variables, of course, but you can make estimates. Conditions are good for making money tomorrow and Sunday. Maybe you should i clean out the closets and have a yard sale. SAGITTARIUS (NOV. 22-DEC. 21) — Today is a 5. Don’t make any suppositions, take anything for granted or believe everything you hear. Rumors are running wild, but not all the facts are in. You’re not even sure the “facts” you’ve been hearing haven’t been given a good spin. Do your own investigation — quietly. CAPRICORN (DEC. 22-JAN. 19) — Today is an 8. You’ve been good all week. That’s long enough. Tonight, join friends for an outing. You need a change of scenery. Don’t get into too much trouble, though, or you’ll hate yourself in the morning. AQUARIUS (JAN. 20-FEB. 18) - Today is a 6. You hold the minority opinion. That doesn’t mean you’re wrong; you just have some educating to do. You’ll recognize the opportunity when an older person starts expounding erroneous beliefs. Provide a few facts. Nicely. PISCES (FEB. 19-MARCH 20) - Today is a 9. Love and marriage, love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage. If your horse bolted or the carriage lost a wheel, this would be a good time to get everything back on track. BRIEFS Concert for Lennon rescheduled NEW YORK (AP) - Come Together, a tribute to John Lennon that had been scheduled Thursday at Radio City Music Hall, is now set for Oct. 2. Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews, Moby and Nelly Furtado are among those scheduled to perform. Kevin Spacey will be the host of the event, which will air live on TNT (8 p.m. ET). The concert was rescheduled because of last week’s terrorist attacks, said Steve Koonin, TNT’s executive vice president and general manager. “The appropriateness of John Lennon’s words, message and music is even more timely now,” said Ken Ehrlich, whose company is producing this event. The concert was originally to benefit nonviolent causes, but now also will support relief organizations set up in New York City. Canadian IV show cancels nominations TORONTO (AP) — A popular Canadian TV series that makes fun of Americans’ lack of knowledge about Canada has declined nominations for industry awards this year. The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television nominated hick Mercer’s Talking to Americans for two Gemini awards, but Mercer said Tuesday he didn’t think it was appropriate because of last week’s attacks on New York and Washington. “While I am honored that the program has received these nominations, I feel that this is not a time to be making light of the differences between two nations but rather a time to offer our unconditional support to our neighbors, friends and relatives to the south,” Mercer said. The show features Mercer traveling across the United States to ask people ridiculous questions about Canada. It was nominated for best music, variety program or series and for best performance or host in a variety program or series. Online Music Awards postponed NEW YORK (AP) - The fourth annual Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine Online Music Awards, scheduled Thursday at the Hammerstein Ballroom, have been postponed until further notice. The show’s sponsors and performers decided the timing was inappropriate following last week’s attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, said Andrew Kramer, executive producer of the awards, in a statement on Monday. Pete Townshend, Aerosmith, Widespread Panic, American Hi-Fi and Ludacris were among those scheduled to perform. m ueuu (Pl-OO ( 3*1 iWA-tt 6<L0g>)|W£ ?0<*uc $EM\c-e MHOv/MceMtNT „Aior*E.fc.
