FRIDAY September 7 DAVE MATTHEWS COVER BAND Simply named the Dave Matthews Cover Band (DMCB), this five member Athens ensemble that sounds remarkably similar to their famous counterparts, will take the stage with a 40-song repertoire from the six albums The Dave Matthews Band has released since its inception in 1991. The Elbow Room, 812 Harden St. 771-1502 COOL FOR AUGUST, CAPTAIN EASY Cool For August hit the airwaves in 1997 with their Warner Bros debut album, Grand World. The album spawned two Top 20 Rock Radio hits, “Don’t Wanna Be Here” and “Walk Away.” The band, now based in Atlanta, has some new members and co-produced five new songs with Jeff Tomei. THE FANTASTICS Lexington’s Village Square Theatre opens thier 2001-2002 season with the longest running musical of all time.
