%\ii (Bamecock Sunday, July 30 ■Tresspass after notice, simple possession of marijuana, Pendleton Garage. Officer E. Pereira noticed Charles Stripling trying to hide in the west stairwell of level IB of the garage. The officer approached Stripling and recognized him from previous encounters. Stripling had been given trespass notices on May 28 and March 24. Stripling was arrested and transported to Richland County Detention Center, where he was found to have a small piece of tin foil with a brown, leafy substance believed to be marijuana. Thursday, July 27 ■ Malicious injury to personal property, larceny of watch, South Tower, room 110. Employee Gena Runnion said someone removed employee Carl Johnson’s watch from his room. Runnion also said someone damaged a couch in a room belonging to Housing. The total estimated value of the watch and the damage was $150. Reporting officer: M. Moore. Wednesday, July 26 ■larceny of money, 1705 College St. Student Ginger Roth said someone knocked down a parking meter and removed the head of the meter, gaining entry to the change compartment. Reporting officer: J. Coaxum. ■ Malicious injury to residence property, Legare Residence Hall, room 107. Employee Helen Fields said someone broke an exterior window of the residence hall, causing an estimated $200 in damage. Reporting officer: R. Whitlock. Tuesday, July 25 ■ Larceny of laptop, Preston College room 303. Nathan Madden said someone removed an unattended Compaq Presario laptop with a value of $1,500. Reporting officer: L. Morales. ■Illegal use of telephone, Douglas Residence Hall lobby. Student Kristen Ballard said someone called her and was extremely obscene. Reporting officer: N. Beza. ■ Simple assault, disorderly conduct, intersection of Assembly and Senate streets. Officer K. Colefield saw Jimmy McDonald grab Jean Kent while she was sitting on a bench. McDonald, who seemed extremely intoxicated, struck Kent in the face with his hand and shouted profanities at Kent. McDonald was arrested and transported to the Richland County Detention Center.
