Companies will begin reviewing resumes for on campus recruiting September 6, 2001. Register now with CareerConnections to maximize your interview opportunities in the fall. Scheduling interviews can be done in TWO ways. Pre-Select Schedules • Allow employer to pre-screen resumes prior to campus visit. • Four-week process begins with a pre-select deadline and ends with the actual interview. • You don’t have to meet the preferred qualifications to submit your resume. • Pre-select is the most frequently used schedule type. Open Schedules • Resumes are not pre-screened by employers. • Your background must match the job criteria. * • You will sign up directly on an interview schedule. Company Research An important part of planning for your interview is gathering information about the company. CareerConnections will direct you to the company web site if it was provided by the organization. Many recruiters also spon sor information sessions that will help you learn about the company as well as give you. an opportunity to network informally with the recruitment team. CareerConnections refers to information sessions as events. Events are held before the pre-select deadline to generate student interest in pre-selecting or the evening before the interview day to answer ques tions and provide information in a group setting.
