SG leaders not doing their jobs To the editor I am extremely upset with the ri cent actions (or inaction) of our belove UbUUV/Ul> \J v Vs? illlivUv. A. vl vvl l/i. current problems facing our Studer Government is a lack of effective leai ership and not a lack of "feasible ideas The current situation involving M Newman and Ms. Hallmark is not a aberration; it is the rule. What mean by that is the leadership of S lives by the rules they create as the go along and not the rules establishe by the Carolina Community, SG Coi stitution, or SG Codes. Instead, they e whatever is convenient for them an their interests. I was at the Senate Mee ing when Ms. Newman and Ms. Hal man "confessed." I was wondering wt were they upset? Was it because the potentially broke the law? Or was it b cause they were caught? If both of thei are so distraught over the experienc and how "concerned" they were for the "failure," they should resign. However, SG's failures go beyor this incident. This is essentially why the euro will not work. This is the third time this century that Europe has tried to unite in a monetary union. It has failed in the past because of the strong political and national identities that compose each country. If the euro worked it would be a wonderful thing, but despite what the politicians say, it is more apt to fail than to succeed. Also, money is not a "certain evil," as your article has stated. Money exists as a medium of exchange that is relatively easy to carry and does not deteriorate rapidly. What do you suggest, we go back to exchanging three pigs for one cow? Without this existence, civilization would mainly be composed of subsistence farmers.
