Equestrian te staff writer CHRIS PeGUIDO The USC equestrian team won the High Point Team Championship at the UGA Intercollegiate Horse Show Saturday in Athens, Ga. Irmo native Lori DuPuis led the team by winning both her Intermediate Flat and Novice Fences classes. DuPuis was named High Point Rider after winning a ride-off against Katie Vijande from UGA. Other first place finishers included Jennifer Wood in Open Flat, Maria Falgione and Kimberly Alexander in sections of Novice Flat, Ellen Smoak in Novice Fences, Stacy George in Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter and Cynthia peck in Walk/Trot. The USC equestrian team takes the lead in the Hunt Seat Division of Zone 5, Region II after four shows. Their next comDetition will he the Division I National Invitational Equestrian Classic on Dec. 5 at Irish Oaks Farm in Irmo, home of the Lady Gamecocks.
