The USC volleyball team continued
its solid play this weekend, winning three
matches to claim the Chattanooga Invitational.
Freshman Cally Plummer was
named tournament MVP, while seniors
Cindy Robarge and Ashley Edlund were
named to the All-Tournament team.
"I saw some great things this weekend,"
USC coach Kim Hudson-Christopher
said. "Cindy Robarge keeps getting
better in the middle. Our offense did some
good things."
Saturday, Carolina defeated both Troy

The crowd went wild, and it seemed

"Then we get down in a possession

yere right in our hands and had to

Scott said.
Then disaster struck.
Carolina was down deep in its own
erritory when Wright missed his inended
receiver and the ball flew ino
the waiting hands of a Herdsman.
Carolina's hopes were dashed when
Marshall's kicking team ran onto
he field with two seconds left and won
he game on a 37-yard field goal.
"You only get so many chances and

vhat caught up with us," Scott said.
As Marshall celebrated its triumph,
Carolina players ran off the field, or
ust laid down in complete and utter
shock.
The game was over and Marshall
lad come out on top.
Carolina finished with more first
lowns (22 to Marshall's 20), more passng
yards (260 to 177) and more net
mrds (458 to 310).
"I know that our young men were
lying and giving some effort out there,

"We've all got to do a better job of
