Laura Pergolizzi, USC's environmental pi grams manager, said USC students, faculty a staff have helped over the years to make the i cycling program a success. She said the USC recycling project is ci rendy collecting 40 tons a month from resider halls, business offices and classrooms across cai pus. However, the bulk of garbage from dini facilities on campus is not being recycled. However, Pergolizzi said the US Environmental Programs Department is cu rently working with Marriott to improve rec cling in the dining halls. "The cost of recycling the Styrofoam cu is not cost effective to businesses who might u the recycled product," Pergolizzi said.
