Eason resigns JOE QUINN Staff Writer John Eason, the offensive coordinator at USC for the past three seasons, has resigned from his position, citing a desire to "pursue other opportunities." Eason, who joined the Gamecock football staff in February of 1994, also coached the team's wide receivers. Eason could not be reached for comment, but said in a prepared statement, Tm grateful for the opportunity I've had to be a part of the Gamecock program. I've enjoyed my association with the student-athletes, administration and fans. I believe it is time for me to step aside and explore some other opportunities." Eason coached the wide receivers at Florida State for 12 years before joining USC Head Football Coach Brad Scott at South Car r your stack of classwork is a welldeserved holiday.
