?r Ondo kid SHANNON E. MOTLEY Staff Writer a Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "I have a dream." In this respect, USC women's soccer player Jennie Ondo is a lot like King. Ondo, a starting forward, has a dream. She says she feels the team will be improving each year, but this year she dreams of a better record, more SEC wins and a spot in the playoffs. "We did alright for a second year team," Ondo said of last year's 10-7-2 ^ squad. "I am happy about our record, F but wp Inst, some SEC tramps and had a couple of bad losses, unlucky losses." But Ondo says she has hope for this season and fells those losses made her and her teammates stronger. The sophomore led the Lady Gamecocks last season in scoring and was second in assists during her first year at USC. She scored 14 goals, including four game-winners, and had six assists. She also led in total points with 34. ^ Leading her team in many different ways is something Ondo should be 1997-98 basketba STAFF REPORTS At least 17 national or regional television appearances, the most ever for a USC men's basketball team, highlight the 27-game 1997-98 schedule, ^ released Aug. 6. Head coach Eddie Foglerwas happy with the way the schedule shapes up, but he said the team will have to come together quickly in order to be successful ^ in the non-conference games. "Needless to say, as the program improves, so should the schedule, and we have put together a schedule that should challenge our team, especially early," Fogler said.
