Sponsored by Rock 93.5, the Free Times, Red Dog, Icehouse and Lindy Promotions Inc., the tour helps raise canned food for Palmetto Aids Life Support Services. 'Crawlers' pay a $5 entrance fee with two cans of food or $8 without food. Planned Parenthood to offer free HIV testing for week in May Planned.Parenthood of South Carolina's Columbia clinic will offer free on-site HIV testing during the week of May 5 through May 9. USC Professor receives Governor's Award for Excellence John Dawson, a professor in the department of chemistry and biochemistry, received the 1997 Governor's Award for Excellence in Science Research Friday. The presentation was part of the South Carolina Academy of Science's w annual luncheon. About 300 science educators throughout the state's elementary and secondary schools and colleges and universities attended the luncheon. The event coincided with Gov. Beasle/s S.C. Science and Mathematics Week USC political psychologist wins top award a Betty Glad earned the Harold Lassell Award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions to Political Psychology. The award is sDonsored bv the International Society of Political Psychology.
