Historic Columbia needs docents The Historic Columbia Foundation will provide training for prospective docents Sept. 24-26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Carriage House on the grounds of the Robert Mills House. Docents offer guided tours of Historic Columbia Foundations' four historic house museums: the Robert Mills House, the Hampton-Preston Mansion, the Woodrow Wilson boyhood home and the Mann-Simons Cottage. Guides are needed most for the HamptonPreston Mansion and the Mann-Simons Cottage. The foundation offers docent-led walking tours of the historic district and Main Street.
