It's something you pick up with time and ience. He said there are many beautiful people in the world, and f a model is hard to work with, they will not make it. "A lot of times they [models] have such a horrible attitude," le said. "It goes to their head and they get very high and mighty >ver it. Then, they are automatically hard to work with. And, f you're hard to work with, you're not going to make it anywhere." Hijazi said he has gotten mixed response about modeling rom his friends and family. He said some of his friends are :urious but that there are some who don't care. Hijazi said his father thinks modeling is a feminine thing. He said, "He's Arabic, he's never going to condone it, and it lever crossed my mind to defy him and go do this." Hijazijs mom, on the other hand, modeled in Paris for a vhile, and he says she doesn't mind. "She likes it," he said. "She won't mind it as long as I keep ay head on straight and don't get taken for a ride." Hijazi recommends anyone interested in a modeling career o be cautious. He said, "Never really believe anything you hear. The industry 3 so cut tnroat, you nave to take care of yourself. Wo one is going o hold your hand." He warned people about giving money to anyone without eing assured of anything. Hijazi said he plans to be graduated from college for security, iecause he knows how lucrative but unstable the field really 3. Tm not wrapped up in modeling like some people are, so m not worried about it," he said. "Ifs another option for a career fit works out." Hijazi said he understands the fickleness of the industry nd the logic behind its challenging entrance. He said, "You have to make a name. You have to get known. Tiaf s why if s so difficult to break into an industry like that." Hijazi said modeling hasn't changed his personality. "I don't act any different," he said. If s harder than a lot of eople think. If you're enjoying it, ifs worth it. If you're getting he money for it, ifs worth it." Hijazi said if someone has been lobking for work for a long ime but hasn't gotten any offers, they should quit. "If you've been struggling at this for a year or something nd nothing at all has come about, you should try to find something lse that you enjoy," he said. This summer Hijazi will check out the modeling scene in lurope and will meet with agents in Atlanta in hopes of signing n international contract.
