(If those terms just threw you for a loop, they basically mean that the BeBox can perform multiple tasks at once, very quickly and efficiently.) All of this allows the BeBox to compute at amazing speeds. How amazing is amazing? At a computer industry conference earlier this month, the BeBox was shown downloading three World Wide Web pages, with video and audio, and copying multiple files at the same time. If the BeBox enjoys niche market success it could, presumably, move into larger commercial markets. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a BeBox on my desktop someday and I wish Gassee and Co. all the best in their efforts. The judge also ordered Urioste to pay a $1,000 fine plus restitution to his victim. The amount of restitution is to be determined later.
