Foster, a senior from Jonesboro, Ga., was named to the Academic All-District Team for the third consecutive year. Foster, an English major, has compiled a 3.413 grade point average during his career at Carolina. This season Foster caught six passes for 79 yards and one touchdown. He has started 20 games at tight end, while catching 28 passes for 334 yards and two touchdowns. Foster is a four-year letterman and has appeared in 43 of 44 career games. Morton has scored 58 points this season on 10 of 13 field goals and 28 of 28 extra points. He has been the starting placekicker the last two seasons, and this season was named Jefferson Pilot Player of the Game following his four field goal performance against Vanderbilt. To be eligible for the GTE Academic All-District EI Team, a player must be a starter or key reserve and have a cumulative 3.2 grade point average in the classroom.
