News Edlor As the number of shopping days 'til Christmas countdown begins, we are reminded of Christmases past?picking a tree, decorating, string -j._ nig up ugnis, etc. Residence hall rooms and apartments, however, are not so accommodating of an 8foot tree complete with lights and decorations. But all is not lost in the spirit of Christmas. Dorm rooms can still be made festive, just on a smaller scale. 1. Christmas lights-the least expensive, easiest decorations. Strings of lights can be bought at places like Target, Wal-Mart, or Eckerds for a couple of dollars. Whether you buy white lights or multicolored, blinking or nonblinking, they brighten up windows and doors and look great from the outside. (Just think what Capstone would look like if everyone hung lights on the windows!) 2. Decorate it with simple lights, strings of popcorn, or be really creative and make your own ornaments. Of course, popcorn strings may not last long with late nights of exam studying ahead of us. 3. Buy a couple of stockings to hang on the wall for you and your roommate. Instead of spending lots on presents for your roommates/suitemates, buy small stocking stuffers. 4. A can of spray-on snow will look great on the windows, the bathroom mirror, your roommate and whatever (or whoever) is available. 5. Decorate vour door. "Wran" your door door like a Christmas package. Use wrapping paper, tin foil, ribbons, bows, etc. to make a Christmas scene or a Santa on your door.
