The center will act as a welcoming front door to USC for students, tourists and alumni. It will also work to advance understanding of services available to students, said Denise Wellman, director of the center. The opening ceremony will include speeches from USC President John Palms and Charles Gibbes, chairman of the Class of 1941, which provided the principle funding for the center.
