The staff decided this fact wasn't important for the students to know; therefore, we weren't told. I find this quite ludicrous. Whatever happened to the old cliche, "Nothing beats the comfort of home?" To the students of Douglas, this is our home, and it isn't a safe or comfortable place to live when you know your personal safety and property are at risk.
