Amy Burns' dream of ^ appearing on the television show "The Price Is Right" came true this cnmmpr anH PnlnmKio ?w. , mi*v vv/iuini/ia vitwtio can witness her big win on the final showcase at 11 a.m. today on : CBS. ; "It was a lifelong dream to be on the show," said Bums, a junior physical education major who spent the summer visiting California with friends. "I went out West to go on 'The Price is - Right,' and I was very lucky to ' win." 1 Bums and three friends arrived I at 5 a.m. at the Hollywood sound! stage on the day of taping but were ; too late for the first of two shows ; being filmed that day. They waited in line until the 4 p.m. shooting began. As the hours passed, Bums began to meet all 308 people in line to be a part of the show's audience. Passing the time with campfire songs and spirit cheers became last resorts for the weary but enthusiastic guests to maintain momentum. In a single-file line, the audience members answered miestinns fnr ! crew workers. Answers determined ; whether the audience members would be summoned to "come on down" to contestants row once the game commenced. Some people had waited in line each day for 22 years and had never been selected as a contestant. "I got to know everyone in line," Burns said. "We were all cheering for each other." Burns was so nervous that her friend Adam Brantley had to answer questions for her.
