Drayton Theatre To Present Transformations: Drayton
Theatre will present "Transformations," a dramatic presentation of
Anne Sexton's poetry, 11:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The production is a black humor exploration of the underlying
meanings of fairy tales written by the Brothers Grimm. Conceived
and directed by Katie Bennett, the presentation will feature selections
from Sexton's poetry, including "The Frog Prince," "Hansel
and Gretel," "Rapunzel" and "Snow White."

was an important figure in the history of modern poetry,
remembered for personalizing poetry with autobiographical themes
from her troubled life, which was marred by incest, drug abuse and
suicide attempts.
Along with Bennett, the presentation also features Pilar Heirera
in several roles, including Rapunzel and Gretel, Gene Aimone as
many characters, including the Frog Prince and Hansel, and Sarah
Osborne as the musician.
The program is co-sponsored by the department of Women's
Studies.
CBS Wins Nielsons: CBS, the just-declared No. 1 network
of the 1992-93 season, won the ratings for the first week of the offseason.
CBS had five of the Top 10 shows ? including the TV movie
"Call of the Wild" and "60 Minutes," both of which tied for third
with NBC's "Seinfeld" ? and received an overall rating of 11.4,
the A.C. Nielsen Co. said Monday.
ABC had a 10.9, NBC a 10.5 and Fox Broadcasting Co. a 6.9.
Each rating point equals 931,000 TV homes.
In the network news ratings, ABC continued a winning streak
that began in August, receiving an 11.0. CBS had a 9.4 and NBC an
8.9.

"Splitting Heirs," a wicked comedy
starring Rick Moranis, Eric
Idle and John Cleese, opens today.
It tells the classic story of mistaken
identity and a kingdom at
stake between two men, Tommy
and Henry.
A child of the '60s, baby
Tommy, played by Eric Idle, was
accidentally left behind at a wild
London party as a baby only to be
raised by a poor Pakistani family
as one of their own.
Now grown up, Tommy discovers
to his honor that not only is he
the real 15th Duke of Bouremouth,
