The streak com irameco By SCOTT POWELL Staff Writer The USC baseball team continued their winning ways this week, defeating The Citadel, sweeping a two-game series with George Washington University and shellacking UNC-Charlotte 9-2. With the wins, the Gamecocks improved their overall record to 16-5. The victory over UNCCharlotte Saturday gave Head Coach June Raines a career record of 648-284-1. He needs just two more wins to reach his 650th career victory. The Gamecocks extended their winning streak to six games with the win over the Charlotte 49ers. The cocks move to Charlotte for a rematch today at 6 p.m. Mac White was the offensive star for the Gamecocks in the victory. White homered in the first inning and tripled with the bases loaded in the seventh inning. For the day. White was 3-for-5 from the plate with two runs and four RBIs.
