I just hope future staffs can provide as much enthusiasm as they have in this semester's issues. I don't want to end on a sour note, but I would like to reiterate a couple of things we have written about this semester and leave ? you with my final thoughts about USC. We urged a boycott this semester of Follet 0f College Stores Inc., Josten's riqgs and the Russell House bookstore because of their unfair ot monopoly on rings, and for their apparent self;(j centered tactics in business. We said they care more about money than the welfare of the students. Again, I recommend a boycott. Also, sell ,s your books back to someone else. a To upgrade parking at USC, we recommend10 ed to our administrators a new parking garage r_ where students can pay a reasonable $2 fee to ;(j park all day. In addition, meters should return to accepting nickels, dimes and quarters. Students don't have time to make change. or The Homecoming Queen should be reinstated, because students voted by a 80 percent mar's gin that they would like to see her return. 12 Also, to add something myself, student body c_ president Tom Young should return to his cam!g paign promises and work toward accomplishing as his original goals. I would like to see vending machines accessible by a cash card, as Mr. t0 Young promised. I have confidence he will js work on his promises. ie Finally, my best wishes to the new staff. re Keep all the foul words out of the paper, keep the color flowing on the front page, don't harp j_ on an issue, and stay away from that "H" word. ahristmas, now! ?i Russia really needs help, too. The people can't even afford a loaf of bread, and their economy seems to be getting worse. Politically, they are walking a thin line between anarchy and civil war. Please, restore stable prices to the country, and give ?1 them hope that things will be getting better soon. at Wars are raging in Asia, Africa, Europe 1<T and even here in America. Could we please get some peace and quiet? In America, our own economy is finally taking an upswing, so we at n last have something to be happy about. IX On this, the most sacred holiday of t9 L-nnsuanuy, mankind is tar from the example j_ Christ set down. Lastly, I'd like a new Teddy bear l(j to restore the innocence I once had, but lost e somewhere along the way. e In closing, Santa, have a kook*y little 0 Christmas 0 Sincerely, C.E.
