Problems arise when current players, and even assistant coaches, are exposed to year-after-year changes in philosophy. This causes a seemingly neverending reshuffling of assistant coaches, player positions and more importantly, different offenses and defenses. These inconsistencies cause a lack of continuity and confidence. This destroys belief. The head coach is directly responsible because the philosophy belongs to him. He must judge the patience of fans and faculty in his quest for team faith. Sparky, my advice is YOU GOTTA BELIEVE. No dominant strength on a particular side of the ball. Football is a sport which is played for four quarters. We usually get about two out of the Gamecocks. Out of the numerous plays of a football game, there are only about five which make or break a game for a team.
