Two stud* USC does By JENNIFER FULLER Assistant Carolina! Editor Two students were chosen from a pool of fifteen students who tried out to portray the USC mascot, Cocky, for the 1992-93 school year. The students were interviewed by a panel of judges, and then performed for three to five minutes in the Cocky suit, Spirit Coordinator Bill Boggs said. The students were judged by the president of the Student Gamecock Club, a USC employee experienced in spirit coordination, the former Cocky, and Boggs. Boggs said the judges were looking for people who were "able to play the character that was established."
