The first day of competition, April 17, resulted in victories for South Carolina and Georgia southern, the Lady Uamecocks defeated the Lady Pirates, 3-0. and the Lady Eagles, 8-0. Georgia Southern came back that day to beat East Carolina 4-3. South Carolina remained unbeaten during the second day of the tournament.
