Washington auditorium. "In the three years that I have been involved in the bodybuilding club this show was definitely the best that we have had," said USC Bodybuilding Club President Lewis Lebus. "The capacity crowd was a contributing factor, but the fact that the overall champions were awarded with statue trophies for the first time in several years gave the competitors more incentive to compete and train," he said. In addition to a Mister and Miss USC competitions, the tournament consisted of six different divisions of bodybuilding: teenage, masters, novice, junior, female and open. Kentucky edged the North Carolina Tar Heels by one stroke to win the tournament. Following the leaders were Texas and Duke in a tie for third, Furman in fifth and Florida in sixth. The Lady Gamecocks' seventh-place finish was 13 strokes behind Kentucky.
