Palo also played Davis Cup tennis for 10 years. j~~ Because iheir father was travel^ ing often, Nathalie and Pauline ry were taught much of the game by st their mother and grandparents. At s age six, the two practiced 30 minutes to an hour each day. z The two played in tournaments throughout their high school days. I P From there, Nathalie made the decision to attend South Carolina, while Pauline stayed in France to I work. c "I knew I could play at a good 0 level in the United States and go to j school at the same time," Nathalie ^ Since that time, senior Nathalie has been ranked as high as 400th e in the world in singles, and 300th J in doubles. She is currently ranked j 32nd in the nation, sporting a 17-7 ?Wi record. On top of all this, Nathalie IS holds down a 3.6 cumulative GPA L in Finance and Management. '' Freshman Pauline holds a 6-10 y singles record, although she's been c hampered by injuries most of the l- spring. She has a 3.7 GPA and is s majoring in business. "I want to do as well as my sis ter has done," Pauline said. "I ,p want to improve my tennis game ig and study at the same time." j- "I'm pleased with the way they iNM is have played," coach Arlo Elkins h- said.
