State game on ESPN From staff reports The South Carolina-North Carolina State football game scheduled for Nov. 2 in Williams-Brice Stadium will be televised nationally by ESPN beginning at 4 p.m. EST. Kickoff will be approximately 4:08. The game had been slated for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff. South Carolina, with aTS-2-2 record following this past weekend's 23-14 win over Georgia Tech, has an open date this weekend. N.C. State, unbeaten at 6-0 plays at Clemson Saturday before coming to Columbia to meet the Gamecocks. ESPN, in announcing the telecast from its Bristol, Conn., headquarters said the play-by-play announcer for the game would be Sean McDonough with former Southern Methodist runningback Craig James working as analyst The telecast will be South Carolina's 19th appearance on ESPN since the national cable sports network began broadcasting in 1979. The Gamecocks appeared on ESPN twice this past year, the last time being a 29-10 win over West Virginia on Thanksgiving night.
