4 Band si) J.R.S. Re By OCTAVIA WRIGHT Carolina Life Editor Five years ago, four USC students came together to form Hootie & The Blowfish. Since those days of driving their hallmates mad at the Towers and playing at Pappy's, which is now better known as Addam's Bookstore, the band has achieved much recognition in the southeastern region of the United States. Due to their rising popularity, they have recently won a record deal on the independent record label, J.R.S. Records, which is based in Burbank, Calif.
