( Defending national champion UNLV is a heavy favorite to repeat in men's play, while Virginia is a slight 1 favorite in the women's draw, despite the presence of defending champion Stanford. The men's semifinals get underway Saturday with j North Carolina (29-5) taking on upstart Kansas (26-7) 1 in a 5:40 p.m. tip-off, while revenge-minded Duke (30-7) takes on the mighty Runnin' Rebels of UNLV j (34-0) in the 8 p.m. nightcap. The final is set for 9:10 j Monday evening, with CBS providing live coverage. j The women begin play Saturday afternoon at Lakefront Arena on the University of New Orleans | campus. The first semifinal tilt will match Virginia (30-2) and Connecticut (29-4) at 12:35 p.m. The second game pits Stanford (26-5) and Tennessee (28-5) in a 3 p.m. start.
