Kelli Taylor, an education graduate student, will lead the program with Rackes manager Kelly Houze. Houze will display some combinations of professional outfits. "It's important to dress appropriately because when you go into a job, you have to be capable and aRn lonk like, vnn have. fhp. rana bility," Taylor said. "The first impression is a very lasting impression. Dressing is a powerful tool." The "Dressing for Success with Rackes" program will be divided into three career interests groups ? business, humanities and education. The program will focus on career-wear for people who are graduating soon and need to form fhpir warHrnhp.s Taylor said fashion advice varies according to the woman's working environment. Women's career-wear has a unique difference from men's wear because women can choose from a variety of fabrics, styles and and colors while men are restricted to basic blue, grey or black suits, Taylor said. When preparing for an interview, it's best to do your fashion homework about your potential place ol employment. Taylor said most companies want to hire someone who will fit in with the firm's image. "See what others are wearing and emulate their image. When you've been there a while, you can experiment with outfits more," Taylor said. The program "Dress for Success with Rackes" will be a part of Women's History Month. It will begin at noon in Russell House room 1m Motv-h A *->\J 1UUIVU \J. Other Career Center programs on March 6 include "Resume Writing" at 11 a.m. in Russell House room 202 and "Interviewing" at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in Russell House room 202.
