Meetings THE CAROLINA JAZZ SOCIETY meets on the first Sunday of the month, 3 to 6 pm, (Sept. thru May) at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1800 Marion St., between Taylor and Blanding Sts. The 6-piece band and guest artists feature the best of DIXIELAND JAZZ, "southern style". Non-alcoholic beveraaes and snacks are acceDt able. No food or drinks are sold on the premises. Beginning Jan. 27, Linda Khoury, co-founder of Columbia Shakespeare in the Parks will of fer classes on the development of contemporary acting techniques through scene studies and monologues. Interested actors of all ages are encouraged to sign-up for classes to be held at Arsenal Hill Park. They are scheduled for Sundays, 3-5 pm and 5:30-7:30 pm, and Mondays, 4-6 pm. The classes will run for ten weeks and cost $140. The Office of Leadership Training Programs is sponsoring two programs during the Spring 1991 semester for students interested in developing their leadership abilities. Freshmen are invited to participate in the Emerging Leader Program, a 6-week course designed to improve leadership skills.
